Formerly agricultural  land this greenfield site is triangular in shape and extends to approximately 4.14 ha (10.24 acres) in size and slopes gently down to the A28

The residential development is to the southern end of the site on c. 1.2ha (approximately 3 acres) in size with the balance allocated as open space/recreational facilities

The site is situated on the north eastern outskirts of the village of  Westfield and adjoins the A28.

The village itself provides a village shop , newsagents, butchers shop, two pubs, hairdressers, St. John’s the Baptist Church dating back in part to the 12th Century, primary school, bowls club, vineyard and business park.  Schools for all ages are found within the surrounding villages and towns. There is open land/cricket pitch to the east, housing and doctors surgery to the South West and the proposed new playing field for football with changing rooms to the North of the residential  development.

The historical and beautiful town of Battle is approximately 5.9 miles whilst Hastings is approximately 4.9 miles.  Both offer good shopping, schooling and sporting facilities for all ages together with main line stations having services to London Charing Cross.
